Basrah, Iraq - November 3, 2023* - The Continuing Education and Development Center at Basrah University organized a comprehensive engineering course on November 3, 2023. The course, which was presented by Dr. Yousef Jabar Loftah, aimed to develop the skills of engineers and increase their knowledge about the definition, components, authorities, and duties of the resident engineer's department in engineering project management.

The course included a lecture on the laws governing construction contracts, dispute resolution, and work withdrawal in the fields of civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. The course also introduced engineers to work specifications and how to follow up, supervise, and execute work according to the priced quantity schedule and project plans.

The course covered the following topics:

* Introduction to project management

* Construction supervision

* Conditions of contract for civil engineering work, part 1 and 2

* Conditions of contract for mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering work

The course was attended by a number of engineers from Basrah University and the surrounding area
