The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra conducted a course on employee rights and responsibilities. The course aims to enhance the capabilities of state employees and familiarize them with the legal obligations imposed on them towards the state and individuals, as well as their rights, whether material or non-material.
Conducted by lecturer Sanaa Abdul Latif Khudair, the course covered an overview of public service, employee rights, and duties according to Civil Service Law No. (24) of 1960 and No. (14) of 1991 in general. It explained the definition of rights, their types (material and non-material), the impact of sanctions imposed on them, the duties imposed by law on employees, their forms, the penalties for neglecting them, and judicial applications issued by the Administrative Court and the Employees' Court related to acquired rights and imposed duties.
The course also addressed the relationship between employment and the environment from all aspects, encouraging participants to express their opinions. It reviewed the problems hindering employees' performance and sought their suggestions for resolving these issues and correcting the course."
