The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah conducted a lecture as part of the first unit of the course on education and learning in the educational specialization.

The objectives of the lecture, which is part of the teaching methods course with an updated curriculum for the educational specialization, are to acquaint trainees with the fundamentals of education and learning, highlight the differences between them, and present the five components of education and the elements of the educational process.

The lecture which was presented by Dr. Na'im Mankhi Oudah and Dr. Aziz al-Din Ali Jaber, included an explanation of the concepts of education and teaching, illustrative shapes related to these concepts, and individual activities in the form of direct questions. It also involved activities that trainees would submit later.

At the end of the lecture, the presenter recommended the necessity of,  developing educational staff and their diligent efforts to benefit from this course, applying its concepts and principles to enhance the educational process for the better
