The University of Basra organizes a course about"organizational structure planning

The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah organized a course about "Organizational Structure Planning.

The objectives of the course are to increase knowledge of various structural forms and how to align them with organizational design to achieve desired objectives.

The course, which was presented by the instructor Basal Jabbar Ajeel, included identifying the three main components of organizational structure, explaining the concepts of vertical and horizontal information sharing within the organizational structure, understanding the roles of tasks and teams in the organizational structure, and identifying options for departmental groupings, such as functional structure, divisional structure, and matrix structure. It also included understanding the strengths and weaknesses of different structural forms, explaining horizontal and new virtual network structures, and describing symptoms of structural deficiencies within the organization.

 

At the end of the course, the presenter recommended emphasising the necessity to focus on courses like organizational structure planning to equip managers with new information and adapt to current market needs, environmental changes, and significant developments in the business field.
