The University of Basrah organizes a course about" delegating administrative authorities

The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah organized a ministerial course on university academic leadership about"delegating administrative authorities.”

 

The objective of the course is to acquaint the trainees with delegating a portion of the president's powers and authorities to competent subordinates, enabling them to monitor all organizational activities and operations in a manner that allows the president to oversee all organizational processes.

Additionally, it highlights the available time and effort that can be invested in studying the fundamental processes of organization related to development, supervision, guidance, coordination, planning, policy-making, and monitoring and implementing administrative organizational goals.

The course, which was presented by Dr. Jawad Ajabari Al-Abd, included the concept of delegating administrative powers, conditions, types, elements, and the purpose of delegation, as well as the legal basis of delegation and delegation in terms of nature. It also covered the advantages and comparison between delegation and empowerment.

At the end of the course , the presenter recommended the necessity raising awareness among institution directors and educating them about the importance of delegating authority to employees who have special abilities, providing a positive work environment free from fear and anxiety. It also encouraged institution directors to delegate authority to supervisors who are qualified to perform their duties well and emphasized the relationship between delegating powers and boosting morale among employees, as well as the role of delegation in developing managerial skills for subordinates in institutions and organizations.
