The Continuing Education and Development Centre at the University of Basrah organized a ministerial training course on university academic leadership about" job description."

The objective of the course is to acquaint the trainees introduce the concept of job description and its importance for the organization, as well as its significance for the employee. It covers how to analyze jobs and describe job holders, utilizing job analysis techniques that enable employees to gain a good understanding of how to excel in their work.

The course, which was presented by the instructor,  Areej Kareem Rahman, involves the concept, definition, and importance of job descriptions for the organization and the employees themselves. It emphasized the factors that contribute to building an employee, the importance of good job design, executive management, job objectives, tasks, and duties, as well as job relationships, professional and personal skills, business development, and the role of the job. The course also covered various job positions such as secretary, accountant, administrative staff, volunteer coordinator, technical officer, and social media coordinator.

At the end of the course, the presenter recommended the necessity and importance of understanding how to prepare job descriptions and specifications for job holders who possess high skills, capabilities, and efficiency in accomplishing their tasks to achieve the organization's goals with high efficiency and effectiveness
