University of Basra organizes the educational design lecture for the second module in the teaching methods course

 

The Centre for Continuous Development and Education at Basra University organized a lecture on the educational design of the second unit in the teaching methods course within the humanitarian discipline

The objective of the lecture, which is part of the teaching methods course, is the modernized curriculum for the southern region within the humanitarian discipline, with a view to the concept of educational objective. (Intermediate) behavioral objectives and preparing students to exercise their professional role in the future and develop the scientific personality of the university student. Students acquire scientific facts and concepts and master the skills of students in the court (virtual court) or teaching skills for the rest of the human disciplines

The problems of undergraduate students are important segments of society. This segment undergoes serious challenges and changes. Some studies have indicated that there are factors that make university youth more confusing.

These factors include generational conflict, fear of the future, opposing norms and values, and the challenge of taking responsibility through teaching methods, discussions and learning methods expected in teaching design, identifying learners' characteristics, and psychological research has identified three methods of learning students: Surface style.

Strategic style

Finally, the recommendation was that this principle should be relied upon. There is a principle of education that stipulates that education should be easier when it is clearly intended by the teacher and the student.

Not giving all information to the student in the university lecture and leaving room for the student's thinking, self-confidence and reaching a sophisticated stage of creativity and thinking

The educational designer (Professor) should identify the characteristics of students and determine their training needs, the target group, the previous requirements and the general characteristics of the trainees
