The Centre for Development and Continuing Education at Basra University held a lecture on educational design
The objective of the lecture, which is part of the teaching methods course, is the updated curriculum for the southern region within the educational specialization to develop the educational design skills of the trainees
The lecture presented by Dr. Zainab Faleh Salem Teaching at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra, educational design models are supportive in the educational process, where the methods used to teach educational content are identified, and one of the most prominent educational design models used is the ADDIE model, where this model has several advantages, including (Simplicity of use, applicability to any type of education and training, saving time, effort and money, as well as adjustability, and suits junior teachers and trainers
It is a systematic process aimed at planning educational systems to operate with the highest degree of effectiveness and efficiency to facilitate education and the occurrence of education in learners, and can be developed and adapted according to the required field of specialization.
Finally, the recommendation was that this model should be considered a starting point.
In the educational design of a unit or curriculum, it is preferred to be used to analyze the needs of the learner and the objectives, develop systems and pay attention to the development, experimentation and re-examination of educational events.
