The lecture was delivered by Dr. Noha Hadi Jassim from the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, who enhanced her presentation with a detailed display. Following her, Dr. Khadija Sami Madi from the College of Medicine at the University of Basra gave a lecture on the basics of measurement and assessment, covering topics such as tests and various scales, including nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio scales.
Dr. Madi explained that evaluation involves estimating a certain matter, while assessment involves adjusting the course, with all three concepts being interconnected. Detailed instructions and activities were provided to engage the participants of the course.
The unit concluded with Dr. Mustafa from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra, who reviewed the instructions with the trainees and outlined the steps necessary for instructors to effectively convey scientific material to their students.
