The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra held a lecture on the fundamentals of measurement and evaluation for the humanities specialization as part of the updated curriculum teaching methods course for the southern region.
The aim of the lecture, which is part of the updated curriculum teaching methods course for the southern region in the humanities specialization, is to equip new teachers with master's and doctoral degrees with the essential skills necessary for designing measurement tools and their correction mechanisms.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Haider Abdul Zahra Alwan, a lecturer and director of the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Maysan, and Dr. Hussam Ahmed Ali, a lecturer at the College of Basic Education at the University of Maysan, included understanding the concepts of measurement, evaluation, and assessment, their types, and how to employ them in the teaching process, distinguishing between types of measures in terms of use, distinguishing between types of evaluation, designing good tests, and formulating objective and subjective paragraphs.
