The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra inaugurated the fourth unit titled 'Digital Content Development and Practical Work Support.' The session was presented by Dr. Ouday Basheer Issa from the College of Engineering and Dr. Zainab Ali Khalaf from the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra.
During the opening, the speakers highlighted the work on the ministerial program aligned with the Bologna Process for both scientific and humanities disciplines. They explained how to design digital content by introducing participants to learning techniques and electronic platforms. This included creating classrooms using Google Meet, Google Classroom, Zoom, FCC, and other programs and platforms, as well as using PowerPoint for presentations. They also covered the applications of these tools for teaching, including tests and attendance, to assist students. Concurrent activities were conducted to demonstrate practical applications.
Following this, Dr. Rafid Abdul Jabbar from the College of Medicine at the University of Basra provided an explanation of the criteria for evaluating the micro-lesson for the mini-training package.
The unit also outlined the evaluation of instructors, emphasizing that the University of Basra is committed to implementing the Bologna Process across all disciplines. The ongoing development observed in the updated teaching methods course underscores the importance of this project in ensuring the robustness and quality of education within educational institutions to achieve the desired goals.
