Basra University Presents a Lecture on the Quality of Education in Teaching Methods for the Seventh Unit of the Updated Curriculum Course for the Southern Region

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basra University presented a lecture on the quality of education in the teaching methods of the updated curriculum for the southern region for all specializations for the seventh unit.

The purpose of the lecture, which is part of the updated curriculum course for teaching methods in the southern region, is in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's interest and its implementation by Basra University. The aim is to introduce participants to quality control tools, highlight their importance in education, review various educational quality control tools, and apply these tools within the university and across different specializations.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Munaf Abdul-Kadhim Mohammed and instructor Marwa Musa Atwan, both from the College of Administrative Technology at the Southern Technical University in Basra, covered strategic analysis tools and the SWOT tool. They also discussed Deming's cycle and the Ishikawa (fishbone) diagram for analyzing educational problems using quality control tools.

 

Additionally, Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar, a faculty member at the College of Medicine at Basra University, gave a lecture on the second criterion of presenting a comprehensive educational package by the trainees and the third criterion of presenting a video lecture by the trainees.

 

In conclusion, the recommendation emphasized the importance of focusing on the quality of education and adopting quality control tools in education, and applying these tools in educational institutions.
