The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basra University presented a lecture on quality in higher education for the seventh unit of the updated curriculum for teaching methods in the southern region within the medical specialization. The purpose of the lecture, which is part of the updated curriculum for teaching methods, is to enable trainees to familiarize themselves with general concepts of quality and quality management in order to develop the educational process.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Khadija Sami Madi, a faculty member at the College of Medicine at Basra University, covered the foundations and concepts of quality, how to evaluate the quality performance of educational institutions, and explained quality assurance models in higher education.

In conclusion, the recommendation was made to provide educational services according to international quality standards to improve the quality of education in educational institutions.
