As part of the Youth Quality Champions Program, Basrah University, in cooperation with the International Trade Center, holds a training course for graduates

College of Agriculture at  University of Basrah, in cooperation with the International Trade Center (ITC), held a training course for graduates as part of the Young Quality Champions Program (YQC), which is part of the Strengthening Agriculture and Agri-Food Value Chains in Iraq (SAAVI) project. The training course is managed by trainer Wasan Baher Hashim, and the program aims to train Iraqi youth (students and graduates of College of Agriculture) in quality management and raising the efficiency of the agricultural business sector, in line with Iraq's aspirations to join the World Trade Organization.

 

The training includes an introductory introduction to international trade, quality standards, food safety, green belt training, and lean management. It also includes practical training opportunities in cooperation with local agricultural companies, all of which contribute to achieving the goals of improving livelihoods, creating job opportunities, increasing competitive and productive opportunities in agricultural fields, as well as raising the quality of local agricultural products
