University of Basra Organizes a Lecture on Learning and Teaching Skills for the Medical Discipline

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra held a lecture on learning and teaching skills, focusing on the medical field. 

 

The lecture, part of the teaching methods course, aimed to equip trainees with a clear understanding of the concept of learning, highlighting its importance, conditions, influencing factors, and relevant terminology. It also sought to help trainees distinguish between related concepts and identify the qualities of a successful teacher. 

 

Presented by Dr. Khadija Sami Madi, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, the lecture explored various aspects of learning, including its domains, levels, and theories. It emphasized the characteristics of an effective teacher, the importance of integrating metacognitive skills in student instruction, and methods for formulating questions aligned with different educational levels.
