The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra held a lecture on the unit of learning and education, focusing on agriculture and veterinary medicine disciplines.
The lecture, part of the teaching methods course for these fields, aimed to help trainees understand the difference between education and learning, as well as the tools and methods used in education that foster lasting positive behavioral changes in individuals, students, or trainees.
Presented by Dr. Muhannad Abdulhussein Aboud, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, the lecture discussed blended education and its distinction from traditional education, along with key challenges in both. It also explained the curriculum components of the teaching methods course, focusing on blended learning, the differences between education and learning, brainstorming techniques, and the practical application of learning theories. Additionally, the session explored modern teaching methods, criteria for selecting appropriate teaching strategies, and their requirements.
