The University of Basra organizes a course on the correctness of the Arabic language

The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a course on the correctness of the Arabic language.

The aim of the course is to enable trainees to write memorandums, studies, research, and edit official documents in a correct language free from linguistic, grammatical, and spelling errors.

The course, presented by Dr. Ayman Saleh Ni'mah, included writing the hamzah at the beginning of the word (hamzat al-wasl and hamzat al-qat') and writing the hamzah in the middle of the word (it can be written over an alif, waw, or ya), writing the long ta and the tied ta, writing numbers, theقصير name, the ناقص name, the ممدود name, and common linguistic mistakes.

The course recommended increasing the number of courses on the correctness of the Arabic language and evaluating annual performance to serve as an encouraging incentive for participation in such courses.
