 The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basra University organized an online workshop on events that shook the world, a series of videos presented by the BBC in English. The goal of the workshop presented by the instrctor , Mugdad Abdulimam Abood, is to clarify the positive and negative effects of using the nuclear bomb in World War II, and to use English language skills in discussion and to encourage researchers to engage in English conversations and how to use them in scientific lectures. The workshop included a 20-minute presentation that included the most important events that caused total destruction of Japan, and its positive and negative effects, and its reflection on the world. After the presentation, a group of questions were asked, the most important of which were: Why was the city of Horishima targeted exclusively? And how many victims were there? After the workshop, discussion was opened with the participation of a large number of researchers in this field.
