The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra held a lecture on the problem of scientific research and topic selection for Unit Eight in the humanities specialization within a teaching methods course.

The aim of the lecture is to inform trainees on how to choose titles for scientific research, theses, and dissertations.

The lecture, presented by trainer Tharaa Abdul Rasool Hassan, addressed the importance of scientific research and the appropriate method for choosing a research problem, as well as the characteristics of this problem that encourage academic researchers to select it. It also covered the basic methods for conducting this research, including formulating suitable and study-able hypotheses, managing time for execution, and important advice that researchers and supervisors can adhere to in order to carry out these projects.
