The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra organized a lecture on scientific research: its benefits and drawbacks for the eighth unit in the applied specialization as part of a teaching methods course.

The lecture aims to recognize the importance of scientific research and the stages of establishing a research team.

The lecture, presented by Dr. Inam Mahmoud Najm Al-Rubaie, included a definition of the scientific content related to how to build a strong and cohesive team, the characteristics of Tuckman's model for building research teams, the stages of Tuckman's ladder for building a successful team, and the hierarchy of the research team. It also covered what to consider when choosing a supervisor, how to deal with the research supervisor, their traits and qualities, and the ethics that a scientific researcher should possess.
