The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a scientific awareness symposium titled "Drugs: A Threat to Our Present and Future."

The symposium featured a distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Mohammed Najah Al-Jazaeri, who presented on security strategies for combating drug abuse; Dr. Nada Mahdi Khalaf, who focused on the legal aspects of drug control; and Lecturer Mohammed Imad Al-Rubaie, who addressed the impact of electronic drugs.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members, students, and concerned individuals. Discussions covered various approaches to raising awareness and curbing drug use, as well as the role of academic institutions in addressing this pressing issue.
