The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop about educational goals.

The aims of the workshop to clarify and define in detail the educational objectives, their importance in the teaching process, and the educational experience of the participants.

 The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Dhurgham Sami Abdul Amir, included the importance of educational goals, the foundations for selecting goals, and the levels of educational goals and their classification.

The workshop called for the importance of teachers 'and lecturers' knowledge of educational goals.  Because it is one of the important elements of the curriculum, it has a great role in developing the educational process if it is formulated well, so as to be actualized into practical reality in a way that can be observed and measured. 

 It does not only invlove mere information, also it includes skills, ways of thinking, attitudes, habits, tendencies, and values. The problem facing teaching of a particular subject cannot be in an organized scientific way except wjen it is in the light of specific and clear educational goals, represented by all aspects of previous experience
