The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra

organized an online workshop about human rights.

  The aims of the workshop, held by the center in light of the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Planning, Studies and Follow-up about the letter of the High Commission for Human Rights in light of the program (Human Rights Defenders) to shed light on the foundations of the list of human rights and compare them to the foundations of Islamic legislation.

  The workshop which was presented by Dr. Ahmed Jassim Hammoud Al-Maliki included the methodology of research in the foundations, the scientific method evaluation, the examples of the validity of the curriculum, and the definition of the foundations and rules of human rights. At the end of the workshops, the recommendation was to emphasize the necessity to develop research in this issue with the efforts of a committee of specialists
