inaugurates the first international conference the era of digital transposition

                           The continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basra Today inaugurates the activities of its first virtual conference titled (Development and Education are Power for the Individual and Society in the era of Digital Transformation) cooperated with (Areid ) platform which was held in cooperation with the platform ( Arid), which includes a group of Arabic-speaking academics in Malaysian universities with the support of the College of Administration and Economics.

The held amis of the conference, the director of the center, Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Al-Yasir, said, “The conference aims to reveal the importance of education and focus on the mechanism of work of Continuing Education Centers. As a result of the emerging circumstances represented by the spread of the Corona epidemic and our openness towards digital education, for a review of legislation, programs, and mechanisms the work of these centers, in addition to our desire to benefit from the experiences of other countries that preceded us in online education, such as the Malaysian universities that participated in our conference today.” Al-Yasiri added these couple of days, we will study and analyze the strengths and weaknesses in the performance of the continuing education centers in Iraq in general, with the help of about (35) researchers in the conference. On assessment, the experience of the University of Basra about its transformation into digital education, the chancellor of the university, Prof. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, said, “For nearly two years, the university has witnessed a great openness towards digital education as a criticism of the old methods used in classical education and the systems that we have been a familiar for many years and based on memorization and stuffing with information An abstract that did not improve our university to the level of developing education and the learner who will face his occupational life after graduating. With digital education, scientific data has become abundantly and surprisingly fast before the eyes of academics, transcending all barriers and international borders. Thus, the university administration felt the integration of its theoretical and practical scientific approach and that theories of education were no longer limited to Preparing the individual and society, but  providing training and continuing education opportunities and imparting skills to them for life.” Shaheen added, "Iraqi universities should adopt the idea of sustainable education and highlight the role of their centers concerned with continuing education to become a starting point for individual and community education within the contemporary requirements and challenges, and to improve the quality of educational outcomes.

The first day of the conference witnessed the presentation of several scientific research focused on developing the concepts of education continuous analysis its prospects and inspirations for the transition towards digital education and analysis of the progression of the education curve based on (webinar) for applied medical sciences
