Basra University organizes a virtual workshop on leadership qualities (Imam Ali’s will, peace be upon him, to Malik Al-Ashtar as a model)

The Center for Development and Continuing Education organized an online workshop on leadership qualities (the message of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, to Malik Al-Ashtar as a model) for the Rasana project in the light of the senior leadership skills course that the center holds for all university presidents and their assistants, deans of colleges and their assistants, heads of departments, managers and all leaders of state institutions

The aim of the workshop is to highlight the importance of administrative leadership to all organizations, especially universities, and to raise the performance of managers to become leaders

The workshop presented by Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir al-Yasiri, Director of the Center, included the report prepared by the United Nations Development Program in 2002 on human rights, in which Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was taken by the international community as a distinguished personality and a role model in spreading justice, the other opinion and respect for human rights. We are all Muslims or non-Muslims, developing knowledge and sciences, establishing the state on the basis of tolerance, goodness and pluralism, and not stifling public freedoms.

The workshop included excerpts from the Imam’s commandments found in Nahj al-Balagha, which he recommends to his workers and leaders of his soldiers, as these commandments are a source of pride for spreading justice, developing knowledge and respecting human rights. People and not to violate their legitimate rights, which came in the report. The workshop also discussed the conditions of Imam Ali for the righteous ruler, which were mentioned in Nahj al-Balagha.

It was recommended to take advantage of this treasure in the political, economic, social and educational programs. The workshop also recommended the necessity of placing the right man in the right place and choosing the people of talent and not choosing leaders in the light of favoritism so that people do not experience strife and calamities, and this is what Imam Ali, peace be upon him, emphasized
