The University of Basra organizes an electronic workshop on (What is Teaching and the Philosophy of University Education)

 

The Continuing Education and Development

Center organized a virtual workshop online on the nature of teaching, the philosophy of university education, the characteristics of a faculty member based on global developments and educational variables within a Development and Rehabilitation Project.

 The workshop, which is part of the teaching methods course prepared by the Center, aimed at qualifying new faculty members in Iraqi universities and promoting a culture of professional development for a faculty member.

 The workshop, which was presented by Professor Dr. Nidaa Muhammad Baqir Al-Yasiri, included a presentation of the training program for qualifying those who desire teaching profession and clarify the meaning of the philosophy of university education and how to employ philosophy in education and the relationship between them. It also included the nature of teaching and all opinions about the meaning of teaching if it is an art or whether it is  a science or art, a science or a profession to achieve the educational goals, as well as the most important characteristics and qualities of a faculty member and the detection of change.

                                                            

 At the end, the presenter recommended understanding the necessary basic skills on which the teaching process is based by all those who want to be part of the teaching profession
