The Continuing Education and Development

 Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on the basics of total quality management within the Rigor Project.

 The aim of the workshop, which is part of the middle management course, is to instill the concepts of total quality management to the participants, and the question : is quality management worth this effort?

 The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Orouba Rashid Ali Al-Badran, included a detailed explanation of a general introduction to quality management, focus on customers, distinguished human resources management, effective operations, common mistakes when to apply quality, the role of leadership, improvement, continuous development, change management, and providing opportunities for dialogue and discussion of issues related to quality.

 At the end, the recommendation was on the  necessity of training and qualifying the staff according to the latest findings of advanced organizations , taking into consideration the specificity of the environment of Iraqi organizations
