The University of Basra organizes a workshop on Detecting Financial and Administrative Corruption within the Rigor Project

 

 The Continuing Education and Development

 Center at the University of Basra organized an online workshop on the detecting of financial corruption within the Rigor Project.

   The aim of the workshop, which is part of the middle management course, is to educate the trainees to confront the corruption forms and methods of confronting it, to raise awareness of it and to introduce its dangerous effects and consequences.

  The workshop, which was presented by Dr. Refaat Abdullah Jassim, included introducing the importance of this type of studies, as well as defining the term corruption, its various study methods, its forms and types, the extent of its spread, its danger to the individual and society, and methods of confronting it.

 The lecture was well received by the participants, and opened up the prospects for scientific discussions.

  In the end, the recommendation was to hold  more workshops to raise the spirit of confrontation among the employees of government institutions to corruption, and to give priority to the issue of financial and administrative corruption because of its repercussions on the various segments of society and its extreme gravity
